Het Binnenste Buiten
visual identity, 2024
visual identity, 2024
Health Hub Utrecht and the Utrecht University of the Arts (HKU) asked me to develop a visual identity, including wayfinding and exhibition texts, for their new exhibition during Science Week in the Botanical Gardens of Utrecht.
The project involved designing a typographic logo that would complement the imagery of the artworks created by the exhibiting artists. The visual identity needed to reflect both the healthcare domain and the experimental, future-oriented vibe of the event. Additionally, the color red—characteristic of Health Hub Utrecht's branding and essential for wayfinding within the Botanical Gardens—was to play a prominent role in the design.
The exposition Het Binnenste Buiten explores how we will shape our health and happiness in the future—a future that will undoubtedly look different from today. What exactly that future entails is something we must dare to explore together. This is precisely what designers and artists from HKU are investigating through installations, performances, and interactive works at the Future Health Expo during Utrecht Science Week, taking place from September 29 to October 2 in the Botanical Gardens at Utrecht Science Park.
