Ik Proost op Troost (I toast to comfort) is a publication about celebrating the tough moments of life by dancing. Using movement as a way of coping with the setbacks in life. Dancing your way to an enlighted feeling.
With feet covered in acrylic paint I danced on pieces of paper, creating letters with my footsteps. The letters form the phrase ‘Ik Proost op Troost’. The sheets of paper are folded in such a way that whenever you flip through the book, your hands move in a dynamic way and almost seem to dance across the sheets. The footprints on the pages, create new compositions, as they dance together.
